With the precision and efficiency of CEREC dental crown technology, our team can provide you with a beautiful, high quality ceramic crown in only one dental visit. With CEREC technology, Dr. Amer can design, fabricate, and permanently cement a custom dental crown without wasting a single moment of your time. This is made possible through the use of incredibly accurate computer scanning, colorized 3D imaging, and our on-site computer aided milling system. Now, rather than a two-step, two-appointment dental crown, one trip to the dentist is all that you’ll need for a fully restored tooth.
A Changing Tradition
Traditional dental crowns have generally required at least two dental appointments. The first visit was dedicated to preparing the tooth for the crown and involved the use of gummy impression materials and lab slips to document the shape and size of the proposed crown. After approximately 3 weeks, a second visit would be required to try in and cement the completed crown. Between the two appointments, a temporary crown would be glued on top of the prepared tooth and the dentist would communicate with a dental lab to specify the shade, size, and shape for the new crown.
Today’s on-site technology completely eliminates the 3 week waiting time, the impression materials, and the correspondence with an outside lab. In fact, we’ve completely eliminated the need for a second appointment! CEREC technology has made it possible for our team to start and finish a dental crown in the same day so that you can move on with your busy life!
Good For You and Good For the Environment, Too!
A CEREC porcelain/ceramic dental crown is a metal-free restoration that is perfect for anyone who may be allergic or sensitive to nickel and other metals.
Same-day dental technology is also environmentally friendly since the process requires far fewer dental materials during the procedure. That means less packaging, less waste, and no transportation to move the dental impressions from the dental office to the dental lab and back again.
The Finest Available Technology
CEREC technology gives Dr. Amer complete control over the quality and specifications of your new crown down to the tiniest detail. The on-site crown milling unit is designed to capture 3D images of your teeth and then compute and process the information to produce a beautiful one-of-a-kind crown that looks natural and feels perfect.
